Milne Feeds is proud to once again be supporting the Munda Reds Droughtmasters on-farm bull sale. Taking place at their Glencoe property, in Gingin, the sale date is locked in for Thursday April 13th, with the first bull going through the ring at 11am. Purchasers can take advantage of the on-farm Open Day on Friday March 31st from 9am, to get a look at the line up pre-sale.
The Munda team will offer 130 bulls this year, with 70 of the team homozygous polled. The team at Munda Station in the Pilbara and Gen Grazing in Gingin, formerly known as Generation Pastoral, do a fantastic job breeding animals with great type and temperaments, that fit well in any herds. You can be confident that they will have prepared the top animals for sale at this year’s bull sale.
Munda are producing bulls to fit any pastoral breeding operation, and we think they would also do well in any non-pastoral setting. All bulls offered for sale have been sire verified, semen tested, vaccinated, poll tested, morphology and genomic tested, so buyers can be sure only the best animals are on offer. After the outstanding results of last year’s sale, the bulls on offer this year are likely to be snapped up quickly.
Just last week Milne Feeds team members, Jess Andony and Jonathan Langan, were on-site at Munda Station in the Pilbara, with farm manager Phil, having a look at their herd and some of the recent upgrades they have been doing to their yards. It’s clear to see the whole team at both properties take a lot of pride in their work, and choose their genetics for their herds carefully.
Pictured above are some yearling heifers and young bulls seen whilst driving around the station. Despite the recent wet season being drier than the team would have liked, stock across the station were all holding condition well. In-calf rates remain high across all breeding herds - proof of the hardiness of the animals they are breeding.
