Whether you’re a feedlotter or grazier, Milne Feeds has a feeding solution for your herd. Our beef product range covers growth, weight gain, maintenance and even fibre – for those seasons where homegrown or purchased long stem fibre is hard to get.

EasyBeef® is considered our ‘all round’ beef pellet. It can be fed to younger cattle around 150kg liveweight to aid in rumen development and growth, or to provide extra energy and protein if pasture isn’t enough to maintain the growth curve producers are chasing for their growing cattle.

It can also be used as a primary ration for feedlot cattle. Producers can have peace of mind that feeding high levels of EasyBeef®, with our HyFibe® technology, is safe for their cattle and that they can expect optimal weight gain and feed conversion across their pens.

EasyBeef® can also be used to assist heifers to reach mating weights, to supplement cows with calves at foot if seasonal conditions are poor and feed is limited, to get bulls ready for mating season, or to put weight on cull cows or bulls prior to sale.

EasyBeef® is a nutritionally balanced 9mm pellet with 11 MJ ME/kg and 14.5% CP, available in bulk and bulka bags from the Welshpool mill and select regional depots. It is also available in 20kg bags from various stockfeed stores across Western Australia.

Milne also produces Vitalize®, which is essentially EasyBeef® without added fibre. This pellet is designed primarily for feedlot producers that have access to their own source of fibre, hay or silage, which can be fed effectively alongside the pellet. This might be blended in a mixer wagon with silage before being fed into troughs, or as rolls with ad lib access in feedlot pens. However you feed Vitalize®, it is essential cattle on this pellet have access to a fibre source.

Vitalize® comes in the form of a 9mm pellet, as well as a 4mm pellet to suit lick feeders and controlled intake feeding programs. It’s a 12.5MJ ME/kg and 14.5% CP pellet nutritionally balanced to meet the demands of feedlot cattle and weight gain programs. It is available from the Welshpool mill in both bulk and bulka bags.

Targeted at younger cattle Early Weaner is a high protein, high energy 4mm pellet for early weaning programs. It contains our signature HyFibe® technology, making it a safe and effective pellet for young calves where rumen development is important for future growth.

It can be used for animals around 70kg liveweight and is most effective up to 120kg – 150kg depending on seasonal conditions and pasture availability. It is designed to be fed alongside a roughage source for optimal rumen development. For smaller animals under 100kg liveweight, a period of 4 – 8 weeks on Early Weaner will lead to good rumen development and growth. For older animals over 100kg liveweight, 2 – 4 weeks with ad lib access to the pellet and a roughage source will set them up for grazing independently and future success.

Early Weaner is 13MJ ME/kg and 21% crude protein, available in bulk or bulka bags from the Welshpool mill, as well as in bulka bags from our Broome Depot.

Cattle Maintenance

Cattle Maintenance is a 9mm, ionophore-free pellet, that provides a balanced ration for ruminants prior to and during, transport/voyages. It provides improved nutrient utilisation via enriched natural, essential oils and organic zinc and chromium bound to methionine.

Cattle Maintenance can also be used as a maintenance pellet for feedlot cattle, or holding cattle prior to transport.

Cattle Maintenance is 9.5MJ ME/kg and 11% CP with a balanced vitamin and mineral premix included. It is available in bulka bags from the Welshpool mill.

Additional products for certain markets/seasonal conditions

EasyGrass®

A nutritionally balanced 9mm pellet designed for pasture-fed cattle. It meets certified Pasturefed Cattle Assurance System nutritional requirements (PCAS). It is a safe, high-performance pellet designed for optimal weight gain and feed conversion.

EasyGrass® is nutritionally balanced, with 12 MJ ME/kg and 21% crude protein.

Milne EasyFibre® Pellet

A 6mm fibre pellet using our Hyfibe® technology which can be used as a partial fibre replacement for feedlot or dairy cattle, ensuring consistent fibre intake without the wastage that comes from feeding long stem fibre in the paddock.

With 8 MJ ME/kg and 4.5% crude protein, it can be used to supplement fibre when pasture conditions are poor and long stem fibre is hard to access.

Milne EasyFibre® is available in bulk from the Welshpool mill.
