The Dowerin Field Days are all wrapped up for another year. After a short moratorium in 2020 due to Covid restrictions, Dowerin Field Days were back with gusto for a cracker 2021 event. With a record-breaking 25,000 people through the gate over the two-day event, organisers can definitely call this year a successful comeback!
Milne Feeds has been involved with Dowerin Field Days for many years, not only as a long-term sponsor of the event, but also as a trade exhibitor. Milne Feeds has also been involved as both a sponsor and a stop on the Dowerin Field Days Activity Trail. The activity trail is run by Dowerin District High School and provides primary school students with the opportunity to visit multiple stops, learning about the exhibitors by answering questions and completing tasks as they go. After completing the activity trail, students go into the draw to win a prize.
Highlights from the two days were the RAC Helicopter Simulator, the Future, Young, and Experienced Farmer Challenges, and for the foodies in the crowd, the Sharnee Beard Table N Taste Cooking Demonstrations.
For Milne Feeds, the Dowerin Field Days is a great opportunity to get amongst the ag community, and this year was no exception. Our trade stand, located in the Milne Marquee, saw plenty of foot traffic over the two days with both old and new customers stopping by to discuss all things feed-related. Our ruminant sales manager, Brett Blanchett, and northern zone sales coordinator, Sydney Arber, were both in attendance. They enjoyed catching up with many familiar faces, hearing about people’s farming experiences, and helping all our customers find the right feeding solution.
